If you like to "put up" tomatoes or make your own sauce in batches, our "seconds" tomatoes are perfect for these uses; in fact, many of the chefs we work with request cases of seconds throughout the season, exactly for these reasons. "Seconds" tomatoes are sorted, but they will not be uniformly sized, they may be unevenly ripe or have an overripe spot, and there may be a blemish or crack, etc. Think of them as "imperfect" looking, but still full of the delicious homegrown flavor you have come to expect from our farm!
